19 Apr 2007
The 2007 Inglis Easter Yearling Sale will long be remembered as a record breaking year, with some 23 individual yearlings asking bids of AU$1m or more, and the average pice soaring abve AU$300,000.

MWB was able to secure two yearlings at the sale, one colt and one filly.

The colt, offered by Brooklyn Lodge was by Tale of the Cat, from the stakes winning mare Dawn till Dusk, from the family of Cox Plate winner, Taj Rossi. He was purchased for a New Zealand client and will return to be trained in Cambridge.

The filly, offered by Newhaven Park is by Red Ransom from the Quest for Fame mare, Star of Broadway, who is a half sister to the Group 1 winners Naturalism and Crystal Palace. This wonderful filly will also come back to NZ, with her training booked to be done in Matamata.
